METHOD OF RECOVERY OF VERTICAL POSITION FOR HANDICAPPED PERSONS SUFFERING FROM AFFECTION IN CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC A61H1/00

Abstract RU 2305534 C1

FIELD: medicine; therapeutic physical training.

SUBSTANCE: therapeutic physical training is performed in standing position on knees to support arms against beam. At static will stress of axial muscular system, extension along vertical axis is created to make patient pull his/her cinciput to ceiling. Extension position is kept along vertical axis to control position of pelvic girdle and head while relaxing forearm. This position should be kept during total period of exercises. Body bends back without bending legs in hip joints. Weight of body is alternately transferred either to right or to left leg. Body moves around circle. Hands are risen alternatively up, then they pull at sides; extended arm turns with its palm up and down and up again. While keeping extension position along vertical axis of body, head turns left and right. Then head bends right and left. Arms rise alternatively up; patient pulls up and bends in directed of risen arm. Arms pulls side, patient pulls him/herself and turns in direction of arm. Pelvis moves right and then left and patient gets back to initial position. Patient bends its back, increases angle of bend and gets back to initial position. Patient pulls area of simphysis pubis up and forward and while reducing angle of bend patient gets back to initial position. Patient makes circular movements right and left at maximal amplitude. Patient walks from one side to another step-by-step combining it with walking in direction of beam and back from it. Exercises alternate with diaphragm breathing and relaxing. All exercises are done at moderate rate.

EFFECT: strengthening of muscles of pelvic girdle and prelum abdominal; higher postural activity; coordinated traction of body's extensors, pelvic joints and prelum abdominal; improved efficiency of training.
