FIELD: petrochemical processes.
SUBSTANCE: methanol and hydrocarbon feedstock containing isoamylenes and/or isobutylenes are brought into contact with etherification catalyst in first reaction zone under etherification conditions to form first product stream containing ethers, unreacted methanol, and C4-olefins. From the first product stream is separated stream including unreacted methanol, C4-olefins, and gasoline component containing methyl-tert-butyl and methyl-tert-amyl ethers. Stream containing unreacted methanol, and C4-olefins is then brought into contact with acid catalyst containing pentasil-type zeolite in second reaction zone under conditions promoting conversion of methanol and oligomerization of C4-olefins to form second product stream, from which C5-fraction is isolated and routed to the first reaction zone.
EFFECT: increased economical efficiency by using inexpensive starting materials.
