FIELD: cryobiology.
SUBSTANCE: invention proposes a method for selection of cryoprotecting agents that involves placing analyzed cryoprotecting agents in medium for cryopreserving containing biosensor, freezing for 5 min and thawing for 30 min. The recombinant strain E. coli B5356 carrying plasmid with Lux-operon is used as a biosensor that is stored in VKPM. In other variant ascorbic acid in the concentration 10 mcg/ml as a modifying agent is added to medium. Evaluation of protecting effect is determined by change in luminescence of experimental samples as compared with control samples. Proposed methods allows significant accelerating a method used for evaluation of potential cryoprotecting agents. Methods can be used in technology of cryopreserving biological samples.
EFFECT: improved method for selection.
