FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to a method for sperm treatment. The method for sperm treatment includes: coloring of a sperm sample containing viable sperm carrying X-chromosome and viable sperm carrying Y-chromosome by a coloring medium; bringing of the colored sperm sample into contact with flowing liquid in a flow; and manipulation of a ratio of viable sperm carrying X-chromosome to viable sperm carrying Y-chromosome to form at least one sperm population subjected to manipulation. In this case, one or more of flowing liquid and coloring medium contains cryoprotector in a concentration from 0.1% to 6% vol./vol. or wt./vol.
EFFECT: above-described method allows for an increase in sperm motility after thawing and improvement of its sorting, namely improvement of the efficiency, throughput and rate.
