FIELD: bridge-building, particularly building bridges or overpasses on frozen foundation ground.
SUBSTANCE: bridge includes piers and arch supported by piers. Arch is composite along all bridge length and includes a number if connected sheets arranged adjacent one to another. Each shell comprises blocks and ground backfill. Each block is made as semi-arch. Side block surfaces to connected along longitudinal shell joints are connected by discrete welding or bolt connections with the use of embedded metal units. Both piers are connected one to another by plank. Plank top is located below level of water course bottom. Plank bottom is located within the thickness of frozen ground layer which became frozen before bridge building. Gap between water course bottom and plank top is filled with ground. Area of plank cross-section is determined by reaction conditions of arch thrust and by temporary and constant vertical loads. Heat-insulation layer of Penoplex or equivalent material is placed at bottom level of embankment abutting bridge. Heat-insulation material thickness m, width thereof is b. Heat insulation material is spaced a distance c determined from a given mathematical relation.
EFFECT: reduced labor inputs.
