FIELD: monorail systems, particularly expansion joints for load-bearing structures of monorail bridge spans.
SUBSTANCE: expansion joint includes transversal plates and springs arranged in-between. Plates and springs are moved along guiding bolts inserted into orifices of plates and springs and mate to flange sheets of adjoining bridge spans. Number of bolts is not less than 3. Bolts are not arranged in one line. Shape and dimensions of the plates are identical to cross-sections of bridge spans.
EFFECT: increased capability to movement compensation, possibility of joint usage to compensate any expansion length, provision of desired gaps between plates, increased efficiency of monorail components operation.
