FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to mining, in particular to underground development of coal deposits, and can be employed at evaluation of endogenous fire hazard of coal massif prone to spontaneous ignition. The method incorporates evaluation of degree of cleat with detection of abnormal zones of excess cleat along the length a massif by methods of electrical prospecting and determination of characteristics of endogenous fire hazard for each abnormal zone. At that atmospheric air pressure on the earth surface, barometric air pressure from both sides of the massif, current and background potential difference at the abnormal section are measured, while an indicator of endogenous fire hazard is determined by a mathematic formula.
EFFECT: upgraded reliability of method, reduced labour costs and reduced time for its implementation.
