FIELD: sealing engineering.
SUBSTANCE: shaped sealing member has reinforcing member made of a hollow torus wire ring filled with a sealing material, e.g. elastomer. The reinforcing member is volume-penetrable and flexible. A high-strength material is used for the wires, such as antifriction material, e.g. copper, high heat conductive material, e.g. aluminum alloy. The reinforcing member is composed of wire ropes made of various materials: high-strength, antifriction, and high heat conductive materials. The reinforcing member is made of two symmetrical parts, e.g. C-shaped. The reinforcing member is provided at least of one radial cut at an angle to the generatrix of the torus.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability of sealing.
