FIELD: non-ferrous metallurgy; devices for processing copper-zinc and lead-zinc materials.
SUBSTANCE: proposed unit includes hearth, body with melting section located in it and provided with charge-oxygen burner, tap-hole for discharge of molten metal bottom phase, hole for discharge of process gases and dust, electrodes mounted on hearth and connected to current source and thermoelectric section separated from melting section by water-cooled partition not reaching the hearth bottom, slag tap-hole, hole for removal of sublimates and process gases and electrodes immersed molten slag and connected to current source; electrodes located in melting section are connected to one pole of current source and electrodes located in thermoelectric section are connected to opposite pole of current source.
EFFECT: increased productivity; enhanced operational reliability.
