FIELD: ore-smelting furnaces for processing raw materials in non-ferrous metallurgy, viz: germanium-containing materials; ashes after burning power-generating coals, dust of thermal power plants, sublimates of cyclone smelting of coals and coal shales (aleurolites, argillites). SUBSTANCE: ore-smelting electric furnace for reduction sulfudizing smelting, mainly germanium-containing materials includes walls, hearth, arch which form melting chamber. Hearth and walls are lined with carbon refractory in lower portion and with oxide refractory in upper portion. Ratio of diameter of melting chamber to its height is equal to 1.5-1.6 and ratio of height of wall lined with carbon refractory is equal to 1.11-1.21. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 11 dwg, 3 tbl
