SUBSTANCE: fenofibrate-containing composition with immediate release comprises inert base and from 5 to 50 wt.-% of fenofibrate in micronized form with particle size 20 μm or less. Fenofibrate shows solubility at least 10, 20, 50 and 75% for 5, 10, 20 and 30 min, respectively. The composition can comprise additionally hydrophilic polymer, preferably, polyvinylpyrrolidone. Method for preparing the composition is carried out by preparing the fenofibrate suspension in micronized form in solution of hydrophilic polymer and applying this suspension on water-soluble inert base. The composition and method for its preparing provide the enhanced biological potential owing to the improved pattern of dissolving as compared with the known compositions.
