FIELD: medicine, pharmacy. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to novel fenofibrate medicinal form of immediate release for oral administration that comprises water-soluble inert base covered by at least one cover layer. Cover comprises fenofibrate in micronized form with particles size less 20 mcm, hydrophilic polymer and, if necessary, surface-active substance. Hydrophilic polymer comprises at least 20% of inert base weight with cover and it is polyvinylpyrrolidone. Method of preparing the novel fenofibrate medicinal form involves preparing fenofibrate suspension in micronized form with indicated particles size in hydrophilic polymer solution and, if necessary, surface-active substance and its application on water-soluble inert base. New medicinal form exhibits the higher fenofibrate dissolving approximating to 100%, i. e. the higher biological potential that provides decrease of daily dose of drug and requires a single intake per a day.
