SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the sustained-release fenofibrate-containing pharmaceutical composition for oral administration that comprises granules consisting of isolated or agglomerated particles of the water-soluble inert base bound with particles of micronized fenofibrate with particle sizes less 20 mcm in mixture with hydrophilic polymer. Hydrophilic polymer is applied on surface of particles of the water-soluble base. Indicated granules can comprise one or some external phases or layers or they can be agglomerated. Method for preparing the pharmaceutical composition is carried out by preparing fenofibrate suspension in micronized form in the hydrophilic polymer solution and applying suspension on the water-soluble inert base. Pharmaceutical composition and method for it preparing provide the enhanced biological potential owing to the improved dissolving pattern as compared with the known compositions.
