FIELD: railway signaling and communication; diagnosing state of track.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device for measuring wear of track rail head side surface is installed in track-measuring car with running bogie provided with unsprung frame. In contains voltage generator, rail head side surface wear eddy current transducer installed over inner half of surface of rail under check and connected by input to output of voltage generator, measuring amplifier connected by input with output of rail head side surface wear transducer and information processing and recording unit connected by input to output of measuring amplifier. Device includes also movable platform installed on unsprung frame of track-measuring car running bogie for movement along frame crosswise relative to rail under check, and actuating mechanism installed on unsprung frame of running bogie and connected through output link with movable platform, running bogie position-in-track eddy current transducer installed on movable platform over outer edge of surface of rail under check and connected by input to output of voltage generator, comparison circuit connected by one input to output of running bogie position-in-track transducer, reference voltage source connected with other input of comparison circuit, discrete supply source of actuating mechanism connected by output to input of actuating mechanism, control circuit connected by input to output of comparison circuit and by output, to input of discrete supply source. Rail head side surface wear transducer is installed on movable platform.
EFFECT: improved of traffic owing to more accurate measurements of wear of rail head side surfaces.
