FIELD: railway transport; condition diagnosing systems; noncontact dynamic checking of rail joints condition. SUBSTANCE: device has oscillator rectangular clearance pickup installed with longitudinal axis along longitudinal axis of rail under checking and consisting of two rectangular eddy current converters-transformers converting measured parameter into electric signal and installed in its housing with longitudinal axes across its longitudinal axis whose field windings are connected to oscillator output, two instrument amplifiers, each connected by input to measuring winding of corresponding clearance pickup converter, adder connected by inputs to outputs of instrument amplifiers and data processing and recording unit. device has rectangular height meter installed with its longitudinal axis along longitudinal axis of rail under checking and consisting of two rectangular eddy current converters-transformers converting height values into electric signal, width of each converter being less than half the width of checked rail head, installed in its housing with longitudinal axes along and with cross and longitudinal displacement relative to its longitudinal axis. Field windings of converters are connected to oscillator output. Inputs of two other instrument amplifiers are connected to measuring winding of corresponding height meter converter. Comparison circuit is connected by each input to output of corresponding instrument amplifier. Device is provided with subtractor one input of which is connected with output of adder, and other input, with output of comparison circuit, and output, with input of date processing and recording unit. EFFECT: improved accuracy of measurement of expansion clearances in rail joints under dynamic conditions. 2 dwg
