FIELD: railway transport; non-contact checking of parameters of wear of wheel tread and sliding surfaces, distance between sliding surfaces of wheelset flanges and cocking of its axis in gauge in diagnostic centers of locomotives and cars in motion of vehicles. SUBSTANCE: device has four eddy current converters made in form of orthogonal L-shaped electromagnetic matrices, each consisting of three inductance coils one of which is arranged in plane square to plane in which two other inductance coils are mounted. Coils have elongated rectangular and triangular-shape windings. Triangular-shape winding coil is inscribed with vertical in three corners of elongated rectangular winding coil. Line of intersection of planes of first coil and two other coils passes outside their areas and along larger base of elongated rectangular winding coil to which side of inscribed coil adjoins.
