FIELD: manufacture of building materials.

SUBSTANCE: in a method of manufacturing colored polished coating on mineral substrate comprising applying cement-containing composition layer onto mineral substrate, drying applied layer, and polishing it, said application being performed by applying successively (i) base coating; (ii) dry mix containing binder and quartz sand at ratio 1:(1-3) with 3-10% latex and amount of tempering water ensuring subsidence of cone 2-6 cm, said binder being composed of, wt %: Portland cement 30-95, superplasticizer 1-2, methylcellulose 0.05-1, mineral colorant 1-6, mineral additive 0-60, and mineral fibers 0-10; and then (iii) cement for dry topping; (iv) base coating; (v) layer of cement-containing composition with 3-15% latex (on the weight of binder) and tempering water in amount by 30% exceeding its amount providing normal thickness of binding paste. When this composite coating is fully dried, it is subjected to abrasive treatment, after which operations following dry topping are repeated gradually reducing thickness of layer and grain size after abrasive treatment until surface acquires glossy appearance. Thereafter, acryl composition is applied and polishing, when acryl composition is dried, is performed by means of felt material.

EFFECT: increased strength of containing, durability, and wear resistance, and enabled formation of uniform glossy surface with buried concrete pattern.
