FIELD: manufacture of building materials.

SUBSTANCE: in a method of manufacturing mineral-based coating comprising applying primer, intermediate and surface cement-containing layers involving cement-polymer composition, primer is coated with cement-polymer composition comprising 3% of dry mix containing binder and quartz sand (in 1:1 ratio), latex in amount 3-10% on the weight of dry mix, and tempering water in amount caused subsidence of cone 2-6 cm. Binder is composed of, wt %: Portland cement 30-95, superplasticizer 1-2, methylcellulose 0.05-1, mineral colorant 1-6, mineral additive 0-60, and mineral fibers 0-10. Resulting coating is further primed and coated with layer of above-indicated cement-polymer composition, once more primed and coated with cement-polymer composition now comprising above-indicated binder, latex in amount 3-15% of the weight of binder, and tempering water in amount by 30% exceeding its amount providing normal thickness of binding paste. When surface layer is dried, it could optionally be scratched to impart structured appearance. Mineral substrate is coated using described procedure.

EFFECT: increased strength of containing, durability, and wear resistance, and enabled formation of high-strength uniform glossy surface with buried concrete pattern.
