FIELD: metallurgy, in particular constructional high-strength steel for weld-fabricates constructions.
SUBSTANCE: steel of invention contains (mass.%): carbon 0.15-0.21; manganese 0.80-1.10; silicium 0.40-0.80; sulfur 0.003-0.020; chromium 0.50-0.80; molybdenum 0.18-0.28; boron 0.0005-0.0050; aluminum 0.02-0.06; zirconium 0.05-0.10 nitrogen 0.005-0.015; and balance iron and inevitable impurities, with the proviso that (N/20Zr+Al)<=0.12 and (10xB-0.01C)/N>=1.80. Claimed steel exhibits improved hardenability and provides assurance level of useful quality of sheets with thickness up to 32 mm, as well as bar section with diameter 40 mm.
EFFECT: steel excellent in hardenability.
