FIELD: radio detection and ranging, applicable to enhance the reliability of reception of signals overlapping in time from multiple targets at a simultaneous suppression of signals of side direction.

SUBSTANCE: the method is based on reception of the main signal and compensation signal, summation of the main and compensation signals, the summary signal is subjected to amplification, filtering, detection and comparison with the threshold, phase modulation of the compensation signal begins at zero value of the weight coefficient, which then is increased to the value at which the level of the impulse noise in the filtered signal becomes less than the threshold value, to prevent suppression of the useful signal, the summary signal after amplification is divided into the main and compensation ones, then the separated signals are subjected to simultaneous filtering and detection, their relationship is determined, and the obtained signal is compared with the threshold. The device for radio frequency interference suppression in the area of side lobes of the radar antenna has the main and compensation radar antenna has the main and compensation radar antennas, receiving units, adder, processing unit, modulator, the processing unit has an amplifier, matched filter, first detector, threshold unit, controllable phase shifter, second detector and a subtracter.

EFFECT: suppressed interference at linear handling of signals.
