FIELD: cartridge metal cases, applicable in manufacture of seamless cylindrical steel cartridge cases for pistols, sub-machine guns and other short-barreled weapon.

SUBSTANCE: the cartridge case has a bottom and a body, whose inner surface is conjugate to the bottom in radius and consists of two sections: tapered and cylindrical ones, the height of the tapered section equals (3.5 to 5.9)r, where r - the radius of conjugation of the bottom to the body inner surface, and the angle at the vertex of the cone equals 2α, where α makes up 3⁰20^′...5⁰40^′.

EFFECT: improved extraction and obturation of the cartridge case and close grouping of shots.
