FIELD: nuclear engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method involves preparation of source composition. To this end element being irradiated and metal possessing high heat are dissolved in mineral acid and this solution is mixed up with matrix powder. Then mixture obtained in the process is baked to obtain oxide coatings on powder, and heat-conducting metal is reduced in hydrogen current.
EFFECT: enhanced radiation and environmental safety.
