FIELD: antenna engineering for miscellaneous radio systems.
SUBSTANCE: microstrip antenna has two dielectric plates, one placed on top of other, bottom plate carrying asymmetric strip line with conductor and ground plate to feed inductively coupled flat radiating members made in the form of rectangular metal plates on external end of top dielectric plate and alternately disposed either side of microstrip line conductor. Size of radiating members and distance between them vary along conductor of asymmetric strip line following logarithmic interval principle. Second microstrip antenna similar to first one and disposed in same plane on common longitudinal axis is connected in parallel and in phase for regulating width and direction of directivity pattern maximum in operating frequency range. This second antenna is mirror image of first one on minimal-size radiating member end. Distance between smallest radiating members of first and second microstrip antennas is chosen within (0.3 - 0.6)λmin, where λmin is minimal wavelength of operating frequency range. Parallel and cophasal connection of microstrip antennas can be made by any available method, for instance by means of dual-channel power splitter.
EFFECT: provision for regulating width and direction of directivity pattern maximum in specified frequency range.
