SUBSTANCE: invention relates to saturated complex polyester that is used as a material for molded containers - bottles, caps and so on. Polyester based on aromatic dicarboxylic acid or its derivative and ethylene glycol comprises from 20 ppm to 10% of nano-dimensional particles of silicon dioxide with average diameter 3-100 nm from polyester mass. The latter is prepared by interaction of sodium silicate with water to form sodium hydrosilicate that is passed through column packed with cation-exchange resin to obtain small-dispersed particles of silicon dioxide with average diameter 0.5-1.0 nm and the following growing crystals of particles up to average diameter 3-100 nm. The turbidity index of polyester in its liquid state is 10.9% or less. Invention can enhance thermal stability and gas impermeability of polyester-base containers.
EFFECT: improved preparing method, valuable properties of polyester.
