FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to polymeric materials, in particular it relates to polyesters for use in the manufacture of articles. Article, such as (A) preform or (B) sheet material, contains: (A) a polyester composition that contains a compound of tungsten and oxygen in the form of tungsten oxide particles and an additional additive selected from an acetaldehyde scavenger and a colorant; or (B) a sheet material comprising a polyester composition that contains the tungsten-oxygen compound in the form of tungsten oxide particles, sheet material has a width of at least 0.3 m. In both subparagraphs (A) and (B), the compound of tungsten and oxygen contains from 10.30 to 20.65 wt% of oxygen, and said compound contains at least 90 wt% of tungsten and oxygen atoms, wherein the compound of tungsten and oxygen contains particles of tungsten and oxygen that have a size d50 more than 0.1 mcm, and the polyester composition contains 100 ppm or less of tungsten and oxygen particles.
EFFECT: technical result consists in obtaining additives to improve the reheating of preforms or sheet materials with a reduced adverse effect on transparency and / or L*.
