FIELD: oil and gas extractive industry.

SUBSTANCE: device has body. Body has jointly mounted attachable jaws for holding pipes. Locking assembly in form of latch is made with possible blocking of lever handle movement. Elevator is equipped with a stop with shelves rigidly connected to rotating handle. Spring-loaded fixers are present, which fix handle and depressed by one surface of jaws when they are covered for releasing stop. Attachable jaws for holding pipes are mounted jointly in bode with fingers, loaded with springs for their holding in open position and have other surfaces for blocking jaws from opening when stop shelves stop against these surfaces.

EFFECT: higher reliability and safety.
