FIELD: food-processing industry, in particular, methods and equipment for obtaining of soya food products.
SUBSTANCE: method involves directing legume crop seeds from the top to the bottom while providing cyclic heating of seeds, which is performed in equal time intervals, with seed heating time during each cycle being at least 0.5 the time interval between sequential heating cycles. Apparatus has heater section, product charging unit and product discharge unit. Heater has casing incorporating horizontally arranged pipes and distributor for supplying of heat-carrier to pipes. Pipes are arranged in parallel rows in offset relation from one to another row. Gap between pipes in each horizontal row is ranging between 1.3 and 2.0 the diameter of pipe. Space between adjacent rows of pipes is ranging between 1.3 and 2.0 the diameter of pipe. Offset of pipes from row to row is 0.5 the pipe horizontal gap.
EFFECT: reduced consumption of power for removal of moisture from legume crop seed owing to redistribution of heat and moisture after each heating cycle.
