FIELD: powder metallurgy; production of metal powders fit for manufacture of condensers.
SUBSTANCE: the invention is dealt with production of metal powders fit for manufacture of condensers. The offered method provides for reduction of the corresponding niobium and-or tantalum oxides by alkali-earth metals and-or rare-earth metals in compliance with the invention. The reduction is conducted under the controlled temperature in two stages. At that the first stage of the reaction is conducted till achieving an average structure (Nb, Ta)Ox, where х = 0.5 up to 1.5. Then before the second stage the product of reaction of the first stage is washed out by inorganic acids produced as the result of formation of oxides of alkali--earth and-or rare-earth metals, and also, if necessary - as the result of an excessive amount of alkali-earth metal and-or rare-earth metal. The invention offered agglomerates, are characterized by the size of the primary particles a diameter, that makes from 0.1 up to 1 micron and distribution of agglomerates along diameterD50 makes from 100 up to 300 microns. The invention ensures production of agglomerates, that may be reprocessed into the condensers characterized by high capacity and low density of leakage current.
