FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy, particularly, to tantalum powder suitable for production of capacitors. Proposed powder consists of sintered primary particles with men size varying from 0.2 to 0.8 mcm, specific surface of 0.9 to 2.5 m2/g and particle size distribution complying with ASTM B 822 and corresponding to DlO-value of 5 to 25 mcm, D50-value of 20 to 140 mcm and D90-value of 40 to 250 mcm. Note here that powder comprises the following elements, in ppm: P - less than 30; N - less than 400; B - less than 10; Si - less than 20; S - less than 10; As - less than 10. Proposed capacitor comprises anode with solid electrolyte made from tantalum with specific surface varying from 0.5 to 1 m2/g and specific capacitance varying from 70000 to 150000 mFV/g and specific leakage current lower that 1 nA/mFV.
EFFECT: anodes with low leakage currents and higher dielectric strength at high voltage.
