FIELD: mechanical engineering; reconditioning of wornout parts.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sphere of reconditioning of parts worn out in service by plastic deformation with driving of tool of preset configuration into wornout part and it can be used in repair plants renewing parts of ball pin-type. According to proposed method, reconditioning of ball members of parts is done by means of device according to Para 1, and after plastic deformation, part is subjected to mechanical and thermal machining. Device for reconditioning of ball members by plastic deformation method has wedge to prevent longitudinal displacement of die sections, left section of die being rigidly secured on bed frame. Die sections are provided with lock to form space between sections in assembled state corresponding to geometric dimensions of ball member of part in heated state.
EFFECT: enlarged capabilities in reconditioning of ball members by plastic deformation method, increased fatigue strength in critical sections.
