FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention is related to the field of restoration of parts worn in process of operation by method of plastic deformation and may be used in repair plants that deal with renovation of parts, and also to devices for restoration of external surface of head part of axisymmetric parts of shaft or rod type with groove and inclination with simultaneous increase of their fatigue strength in dangerous sections. In method part is preliminarily heated up to temperature of hot deformation, part is installed into undetachable matrix, in which worn element of part is restored by puncheon, configuration and size of which are selected with provision of a required shape change, at that prior to hot deformation, two semi-rings are preliminarily put on part together with fixing ring, which provide for preservation of groove shape on part. Device comprises undetachable matrix for part installation with semi-rings and fixing ring placed on it, providing for preservation of groove shape on part, and pusher for part withdrawal from undetachable matrix.

EFFECT: simplified design of device and development of method for selection of optimal puncheon shape, which will provide a distribution of metal flows most close to required in process of restoration.
