FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, namely to renewal of worn parts by plastic deformation and can be used at repair plants to renew expansion-cam-type parts along with increasing their fatigue strength in critical sections. Proposed device comprises bed accommodating split sections of die to form cavity there between to mate sizes of expansion cam head part, and top plate with punch holder fixed therein. Said punch holder houses two punches, their front surface facing that of renewed part and being equidistant to it. While rear surface, on the side of part that requires no deformation, is flat. In compliance with proposed method, part is preliminary heated to hot deformation temperature and renewed in aforesaid device.
