FIELD: chemical processing industry, in particular, equipment for electrochemical processing of water and aqueous solutions of chlorides of alkaline and alkaline-earth metals.

SUBSTANCE: apparatus for producing of washing and disinfecting solutions by electrolysis of aqueous solutions of chlorides of alkaline or alkaline-earth metals has at least one electrochemical cell defined by electrodes arranged in electrode chambers and separated from one another by diaphragm. Channels for supplying and discharge of solution under process are made in lower and upper parts of chambers, respectively. Said channels are connected with cathode and anode chambers, respectively. Apparatus has current source, whose positive and negative poles are connected to electrodes, and gas separator arranged at line adapted for discharging of solution under process from negative electrode chamber. Electrodes are made in the form of flat perforated plates with filtering diaphragm arranged between said plates. Three-way valves or change-over valves are mounted in solution supplying pipeline and solution discharge pipeline for reversing of solution flow under process through diaphragm.

EFFECT: improved operating parameters of apparatus and provision for reactant-free washing of internal surfaces of electrochemical cell members from salt deposits.
