FIELD: electrochemical processes. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to installation containing at least one electrochemical cell with, disposed therein, vertical coaxial cylindrical cathode and rod-type anode with interlectrode space separated by cylindrical ceramic diaphragm into anode and cathode chambers, inlet and outlet of chambers being disposed, respectively, in lower and upper parts of cell and connected with solution flow circuit (in chambers) and product withdrawal means. According to invention, diaphragm is made of ceramics based on mixture of zirconium, aluminium, and yttrium oxides; alkali or alkali-earth metal chloride solution supply unit is connected with lower point of anode flow circuit and provided with system to maintain predetermined pressure in anode flow circuit; the latter is provided with container located over the cell at distance from anode chamber outlet being within the range of 0.5 to 2.0 anode chamber lengths, and volume of container being equal to 20-100 anode chamber volumes or summary volume of anode chambers of all cells available; container in its upper part is equipped with means to maintain constant electrolyte level and means for dozed release of electrolysis gases from container with keeping constant pressure in anolyte flow circuit. Cathode chamber flow circuit is also provided with container, which is located between cathode chamber outlet and container of anode flow circuit. Volume of this container is equal to 30 to 200 cathode chamber volumes (or summary volume of cathode chambers of several cells) and is provided with means to withdraw mixture of liquid and gas products from cathode chamber made in the form of fitting in upper part of container. Installation also has means for parallel hydraulic connection of required number of cells and may comprise mixer connected with gas outlet of anode flow circuit and with liquid outlet of gas separator belonging to cathode circuit, and also with water source. Installation may as well be utilized for cleaning and disinfecting water. EFFECT: essentially improved installation design claimed. 12 cl, 2 dwg, 1 tbl
