SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for preparing 1-(3',3'-dialkoxyprop-1'-yl)-2-hydro[60]fullerenes of the formula (1):

wherein R means ethyl (Et), n-propyl (n-Pr); m = 1-3. 1-(3',3'-Dialkoxyprop-1'-yl)-2-hydro[60]fullerenes can be used in fine organic synthesis, in manufacturing physiologically active substances and medicinal preparations. Fullerene-C₆₀ is subjected for interaction with triethylaluminium (AlEt₃) in the mole ratio C₆₀ : AlEt₃ = 0.04:(1.0-1.4) mmole in the presence of zirconacene dichloride (Cp₂ZrCl₂) as a catalyst taken in the amount 0.006-0.010 mmole, in argon atmosphere, at room temperature, under atmosphere pressure, in toluene medium followed by addition of copper chloride (CuCl) as a catalyst in the amount 0.006-0.010 mmole and trialkyl-ortho-formate (CH(OR)₃) in the equimole ratio with respect to AlEt₃ at temperature -15^oC. Then reaction mass is stirred at room temperature followed by hydrolysis of reaction mass. The total yield of end products after hydrolysis of reaction mass is 70-92%.
