SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for preparing 1-(dialkoxymethyl)-2-hydro[60]fullerenes of the general formula (1):

wherein R means Et, n-Pr, n-Bu; m = 1-3. 1-(Dialkoxymethyl)-2-hydro[60]fullerenes of the general formula (1) can be used in fine organic synthesis, in manufacturing physiologically active substances and medicinal preparations. Fullerene-C₆₀ is subjected for interaction with ethylaluminium dichloride (EtAlCl₂) and magnesium in the mole ratio = C₆₀ : EtAlCl₂ : Mg = 0.04:(1.0-1.4):(1.0-1.4) mmole, respectively, in the presence of titanacene dichloride (Cp₂TiCl₂) as a catalyst taken in the amount 0.006-0.010 mmole with respect to C₆₀ in argon atmosphere, at room temperature and atmospheric pressure, in toluene medium followed by addition of copper chloride (CuCl) in the amount 0.006-0.010 mmole as a catalyst and trialkyl-ortho-formate [CH(OR)₃] in the equimolar ratio with respect to EtAlCl₂ to reaction mass at temperature -15^oC and then reaction mass is stirred at room temperature followed by hydrolysis of reaction mass.
