FIELD: medicine; medical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method involves pouring liquid photo-hardening material in turn into two casting molds produced from optically transparent material. They are exposed to ultraviolet radiation. The not hardened material is removed and additional treatment with ultraviolet radiation is carried out. The produced artificial eye lens is enclosed into closed reservoir containing isopropyl alcohol and subjected to thermovacuum drying. Optical part of the lens is built from external and internal components one enclosed in the other.
EFFECT: improved and simplified production process; reduced risk of traumatic complications.
