FIELD: medicine, biochemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention proposes a pharmaceutical composition used for treatment or prophylaxis of obesity that comprises at least one lipase inhibitor, preferably inhibitor of gastrointestinal and pancreatic lipases, for example orlistat, at least one surface-active substance and at least one dispersing agent. Surface-active substance represents nonionogenic surface-active substance or zwitterions surface-active substance, or their mixtures. Invention describes a method for preparing pharmaceutical composition and a method for treatment and prophylaxis of obesity. Invention provides significant reducing the dose of active substance in composition and retaining the same level of inhibition of activity of lipases and minimizing undesirable adverse effects.
