FIELD: metallurgy, possibly manufacture of tubes of Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloys used in important -designation articles, for example in reactors of gas centrifugal apparatuses.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of making ingots from aluminum base alloy; subjecting ingots to homogenization at temperature 440-460 C and cutting them by measured-length blanks; after piercing preliminarily heated measured-length blanks mechanically working their outer surfaces and producing tubes by backward extrusion; performing backward extrusion process at temperature 350 - 410 C at metal yielding rate 1.2 - 2.5 m/min; then subjecting tubes to quenching, straightening and aging. Waste quantity in content of charge for preparing above mentioned alloy may consist 40 - 70 %. Quenching is realized at temperature 465 - 475 C. Straightening is realized at residual deformation degree 1.5 - 2.5% and aging is performed at temperature 130 - 150 C. It provides enhanced plastic characteristics of ready products.
EFFECT: high strength properties of articles, enhanced efficiency of process.
