FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to non-ferrous metallurgy, particularly, to heat-strengthened aluminum alloys of aluminum-magnesium-silicon system and articles made from it. Aluminum-based alloy contains magnesium, silicon, manganese, copper, iron, titanium and boron, with the following ratio of components, wt %: magnesium 0.45–0.50, silicon 0.55–0.62, manganese 0.04–0.10, copper to 0.02, iron to 0.22, titanium to 0.05, boron to 0.03, aluminum and unavoidable impurities – balance at observance of ratio Mg/Si = 0.72–0.91 and content of excess silicon in amount of 0.17–0.25 wt % relative to stoichiometric ratio of phases, determined by formula: ex. Si = Si – (Mg/1.73) – ((Fe+Mn+Cu)/3), and method of producing pressed articles from aluminum alloy.

EFFECT: technical result is production of pressed articles with stable improved mechanical properties with preservation of corrosion resistance of finished products, improved manufacturability during pressing.
