FIELD: ferrous metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to silicon-free additives used for deoxidation, refining, and modification during out-of furnace treatment of liquid metal when flowing from smelting furnace into ladle. First option envisages following composition of additive, wt %: calcium 5-15, rare-earth metals 20-34, aluminum 10-25, nickel 2-9, manganese 2-14, and iron - the balance; and the second option: calcium 5-12, rare-earth metals 20-33, aluminum 10-25, nickel 2-9, manganese 2-13, summary content of titanium, vanadium, and boron up to 5, and iron - the balance.
EFFECT: increased strength and plastic properties of cast metal with high fullness of assimilation of additive components by the metal.
