METHOD FOR CORRECTING MOTOR STUMP AT ANOPHTHALMIA Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with correcting motor stump in case of anophthalmia after implanting transplants and explants at availability of deformation in conjunctival cavity and soft tissues insufficiency. Preimplanted transplants and implants should not be removed. One should carry out thorough revision of conjunctival cavity, model a transplant out of "Alloplant" biomaterial that corresponds to orbital soft tissues insufficiency by size, volume and shape. One should perform incision of conjunctiva and Tenon's capsule in projection of the largest insufficiency of orbital soft tissues, form the bottom for a transplant by taking into account its size, shape and volume. Transplant should be implanted into the bottom developed, Tenon's capsule should be sealed by applying implanted interrupted sutures with allotendinous ligature to suture conjunctival wound. If necessary, several transplants out of "Alloplant" biomaterial could be implanted into Tenon's capsule. The method enables to remove deformation of conjunctival cavity and soft tissues insufficiency.
