FIELD: metal working, namely combination process for finishing and strengthening of metal surfaces by cutting.
SUBSTANCE: process is realized by means of cutting tool with subsidiary plan angle ψ1 in range 0 - 5°. By means of such tool allowance is removed for further surface plastic deforming of worked surface by means of subsidiary face of tool. Cutting process is realized at rake angle γ calculated according to relation: β ‹ γ ≤(ψ- 90°), where ψ - angle of chip shift for worked material; β - minimally admissible value of rake angle allowing to realize cutting process of given material.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of method due to finishing and significant strengthening of surface by preset depth for one technological pass of single tool.
