FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method involves pressing and welding wire components made in the form of aluminum blank adapted to be sequentially charged into die, said blank embracing filler placed inside blank, with powdered mixture of plastic metal and at least one non-plastic component being used as filler; placing dosed amount of said mixture inside blank positioned into preliminarily heated die; preliminarily compacting said mixture inside blank; pressing wire fragment and withdrawing punch from die to empty cavity for charging next portion of components. Mixture of plastic metal and non-plastic component may be preliminarily pressed into briquette, which is then placed inside aluminum blank.
EFFECT: reduced costs of coated wire and increased number of components in filler, including frangible non-plastic components.
