FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy, particularly, to method of making porous semis from aluminium alloy powders. It may be used and aircraft and ship building, automotive industry and construction. Aluminium alloy powder is oxidised to content of 4-10 wt % of oxide phases. Powders of aluminium alloy and frothing agent with decomposition temperature exceeding that of aluminium alloy solidus-liquidus are mixed and compacted to required density. Billet is compacted at efflux rate of 0.5-1.5 m/min and drawing factor of, at least, 15, and rolled in direction perpendicular to billet compaction axis at deformation degree of 50-90% at temperature below aluminium alloy solidus. Then, billet is thermal treated in mould and cooled down.
EFFECT: uniform and homogeneous structure, higher quality.
