FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: process includes mixing of powdery aluminum alloy with porophores and addition of copper powder in the amount of 1.0 to 10.0%, their pouring into split vessel of multiple usage, heating of mixture of aluminium alloy in sealed split vessel in stream of inert gas to temperature of formation of equilibrium copper and aluminum eutectic with subsequent cooling up to hardening of eutectic. After this pressing is performed till dense billet is obtained, hot deformation of billet, extrusion, cooling and thermal treatment are carried out in process of pore formation. Before thermal treatment billet is placed into mould heat insulated from inside. Alloys of systems Al-Cu-Mg, Al-Zn-Cu-Mg, Al-Zn-Mg, Al-Mg, Al-Si-Cu-Mg are used in the capacity of aluminum alloys. Nitrogen or argon is used as inert gas while mixture of powders is heated. Heating of mixture of powders is conducted in vessel with aluminum disc to produce plated billet. Process makes it possible to enlarge range and dimensions of porous semifinished items and increase labor productivity and output.
