FIELD: contact cooling of surfaces for refrigerating, building, and mechanical industries, and for medicine.
SUBSTANCE: proposed thermoelectric device primarily designed for contact cooling of flat surfaces has heat-insulated housing with bottom and contact disk that accommodates cooler with Peltier-effect thermal modules, temperature sensor, and power unit. Cooler is made in the form of temperature concentrator shaped as truncated pyramid or truncated cone. Thermal modules are disposed on concentrator bases so that one of them mounted on large base contacts bottom through its heat-emitting surface; other thermal module mounted on small base contacts contact disk through cold-emitting surface. Housing bottom is provided with heat exchanger.
EFFECT: reduced size and mass, enhanced economic efficiency of device.
