FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: device includes image signal sources, multichannel commutator switches, a video server and a set of display cubes. In each display cube, the light channel has three light-guides in form of flattened cones with total internal reflection. Light sources, having separate power supply circuits, are made from three groups of light-emitting diodes, where the first group of light-emitting diodes consists of blue light-emitting diodes with additional green light-emitting diodes. The second group consists of green light-emitting diodes with additional blue and red light-emitting diodes. The third group consists of red light-emitting diodes with additional green light-emitting diodes. Each of the light-emitting diodes is mounted on a board which is mounted on the surface of the larger base of the flattened cone of the corresponding light-guide, and the smaller base of each of the light-guides has an opening for projecting light flux through a separate lens onto a separate matrix for generating blue, green and red images, respectively.
EFFECT: separating the emitting part of light flux with large heat release from its projecting part, high quality of colour rendering and display of video.
