SUBSTANCE: the invention is dealt with the field of technologies of production of chlorohydrocarbons by chlorination of olefins, in particular, with a reactor for production of 1.2-dichloroethane used in the capacity of a solvent and as a semi-finished product in industrial synthesis. The reactor of direct chlorination of ethylene contains a cylindrical cage, branch-pipes for delivery of initial ethylene, chlorine, a condensate of dichloroethane and for withdrawal of the reaction products in the form of vapors together with accompanying gases. It is supplied with the partitioning lattices dividing the reactor in height for separate sections and with an internal circulation pipe, the upper part of which is perforated and the perforation is made in the form of the rectangular windows located along the circumference of the circulation pipe at the base of the partitioning lattices or at the base of the partitioning lattice, at least, of one of the upper sections. A singularity of the reactor consists in the fact, that at least two plates are uniformly fixed along the periphery of the inner part of the cylindrical cage, that form with the cylindrical cage some additional passes for circulation. The upper and the lower edges of the plates are located at the same level of the upper and lower edges of the internal circulation pipe and are supplied with the perforation, that is similar to the perforation of the internal circulation pipe. The given design of the reactor allows to raise the technological effectiveness of the process of direct chlorination of ethylene due to maintenance of the most uniform circulations of the liquid dichloroethane from the whole area of the partitioning lattices of the reactor.

EFFECT: the given design of the reactor allows to raise the technological effectiveness of the process of direct chlorination of ethylene.
