FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of 1,2-dichloroethane by direct ethylene chlorination in medium of liquid dichloroethane. 1,2-Dichloroethane is synthesized in reactor of vertical vessel with central reaction tube where gas-lifting circulation of liquid dichloroethane flow is provided in vertical circulation contour with its measured consumption excluding dichloroethane boiling in the reaction zone. Addition of gaseous chlorine and ethylene into reactor is carried out through distributing nozzles fitted in reaction tube. Preliminary, at least one of gaseous reagent is dispersed in liquid dichloroethane using ejector through the nozzle of that chlorine or ethylene is added. Liquid dichloroethane is fed in ejector receiving chamber with consumption index 0.01-0.2 of the measured consumption of liquid flow of circulating dichloroethane.
